6th Bi-Annual RAW Experience

A Retreat for Real Ass Women

June 21st - June 25th

...in the mountains of British Columbia

 In

For the sixth time, I’m sending out a howl to the real ass women of the world to join me for a very unique opportunity to gather in community with other women seeking to keep it real, just like you.

We’re gathering over the Summer Solstice in the gorgeous Kootenay Mountains outside of Nelson, British Columbia for a long weekend of women, personal work, immersion into the elements, and all kinds of fun and fuckery.

With the use of storytelling in workshop, ritual, and nature immersion, as a means for personal healing and as vehicle for re-routing toward our innate wholeness, this is women coming together to do the deep work of:

…re-claiming our personal agency as women

…what becoming the authority over our own lives again looks like

…writing new narratives for ourselves & our lives

…how we perpetuate oppression in our own lives & in the lives of others

…exploring what it means to find wholeness in the face of the ways we’ve been oppressed

This is not a community of women for the faint of heart.

If you’re seeking a fluffy experience with women who all look the same, adorned in only white clothing, strictly speaking in new age lingo, where we think we can “sage” ourselves into purity — this is not the retreat for you.

When I call on women to gather, it’s calling on women who seek to be rooted in reality and in truth — bypassing the sometimes ugly nature of life and humanity through the use of empty spiritual technologies and idealism is not how this space works.

This is a space that asks women to show up in the totality of who they are, unapologetically, fiercely, and fully to do the sometimes gritty work of working with the shadowy nature of life and humanness.

It’s a space that will call you on your shit in the most loving way, so that you can know yourself more completely, feel more deeply, and live more fully.

It's transparent, honest, loving, intimate, nourishing community — that looks at the greater picture of how we can only truly experience and express community when we’re doing the work to lift up ALL WOMEN.

We gather in circle asking for all of you, as there’s is no part of you that is too much for this space, and that’s what makes these experiences healing for women on such a cellular level.

Because we aren’t the etheric goddess new age kind of community of women which merely scratches the surface, this is a space that evokes the a sense of love that knows no bounds and descends so far down into the marrow of our bones and capillaries of our heart, that leaves us as a changed person.

The kind of community we nurture in these containers is the kind that quenches a thirst you’ve always had, but maybe never realized.

Through the use of intentionally curated workshop and ritual practices, as well as non-culturally appropriative ceremony, we delve into the stories we carry that weave the narrative of who we are — exploring which stories we seek to re-write and which stories we desire to continuing weaving.

Immersion into nature is the undercurrent of all we do throughout the weekend, as we make a point to get our barefeet on the ground, our bodies into water, breathing the clean mountain air deeply and gather around a fire each night, as interaction with the elements guides how we navigate each day that we’re together.

The use of the elements and ritual help us to unravel the stories, idealizations, untruths, and ways of living that are no longer of service to us or the greater collective of women as a whole, so as to ritually step into what we’re ready to re-weave for the narrative of our lives and who we are as individuals.

Come splay your heart open with us, as we root ourselves into the lush mountains of British Columbia.

The makeup of our days will be a mixture of yoga to open our bodies, intimate circle time with one another, time for self-care and personal exploration, potent ritual, ceremony to honor the elements and the earth, spontaneous dance parties into the night, snuggles and story-telling, and groundbreaking transformational experiences that crack us open to even more of the truth of who we are.

If re-claiming your personal agency and authority over your life with the support of real ass women sounds interesting to you…

Lodging / Accommodations

Mountain Waters Retreat

The Mountain Waters Retreat is located on the border of the 27,000 hectare West Arm Provincial Wilderness Park and within walking distance along gorgeous forest trails and to the the idyllic small arts town of Nelson.

Mountain Waters is a place unwind, relax into the spirit of nature, get our bare feet on the ground as we fill ourselves with the inspiration that this special place has to offer.

The property offers a unique combination of pristine natural settings and proximity to world-class amenities.

Mountain Waters is part of the 100-year-old Svaboda farm, nestled on the side of a mountain.

It's blessed with beautiful forests, verdant meadows, and delicious wild water that bubbles down from springs sourced high up in the park.

The Main Lodge is an inspired circular building that brings a sense of calm and peace to all that enter.

There are guest cabins, wonderful gardens for both food and beauty, and at the edge of Hermitage Creek they have built our forest Maloca; a yoga and meditation building that serves as another group space for workshops and weddings.

There are trails that lead from the property down to wilderness beaches on majestic Kootenay Lake.

There's even an outdoor jacuzzi-hot tub for our enjoyment and plenty of beautiful natural spaces in and around the property for quiet rest and contemplation.
