Surround Me in Flowers When I Die

Surround me in flowers when I die

Before my body turns to ashes

I ask you

Cover me in roses

I want to be enveloped in exquisite beauty

As I’m ushered over to the other side

Lay my body in nature

So that my skin may touch the Earth one last time

Allow sunshine to cast it’s gaze upon me

While my spirit is in transition

It might get one last penetration of the sun’s light

Celebrate this body of mine

Allowing the elements to consume me

For this body has lived such a life

One that’s been so rich with love

One that’s been intoxicatingly pleasureful

One that’s been beautiful beyond my wildest dreams

Celebrate this body of mine

This life of mine

As I promise you

It was nothing short of

Well lived.
