Tell us about yourself!: I'm a mama, lover, yogini, forever a student, and life-living specialist. I love the earth, the sky, and where they meet in my heart.
What is your definition of what a “wild woman” is?: A wild woman is tuned into the rhythm of the great Mother, the collective Feminine, and the essence of her Soul. A wild woman does not follow rules that are external, rather she follows her own inner guidance system. She knows her ebb and her flow.
How would you describe your life was like before starting your journey of being a wild woman?: Before returning the the Wild, I was lost at sea, drifting from one projected expectation to the next. I was not living according to my code and was becoming so easily depleted by living to please others. The feelings of depletion became manifest in my physical body as painful periods and pelvic floor imbalance.
What were your biggest insecurities before engaging your inner wild woman?: Before returning to the Wild I was insecure about many things. I can remember a time, before I was wild, where my sexuality was not reflective of my true nature. I was not tapped into the art of receiving. I did not know how to be still and let the Universe flow through me. Before I returned to my wild, authentic self, I thought I was absolutely insane. I thought I was a monster half of the month while I experienced raging mood swings and intense menstrual pain. My wild woman was repressed and was letting me know through every outlet possible.
What is your life like now that you are actively engaging your inner wild woman?: I am tuned in. I am turned on. I am true to my inner guidance system. I am authentic. I have found the feminine medicine. I can receive. I can allow. I can BE more and DO less. My moon-time is the greatest blessing. It is a joy and a thrill to be a woman. I feel magic and mystery on the regular. I'm eons from where I was and all I've done is come back to myself. I feel fierce and fearless, and when I don't I'm grounded in faith.
What are your five most favorite aspects of yourself as a wild woman?:
I love my ability to birth creations. I love to nurture something, love it so much, and give it away to the world.
I love my sense of medicine. Earth medicine, moon medicine, the medicine of our ancestors.
I love my sexuality. I love my ability to receive, and give.
I love to go out into the world with love in my heart. It's this expanding love that feels like true fearlessness.
As a wild woman, I love to connect with other wild women!
What was the biggest realization, experience, or transformation that most helped you to start unleashing and embracing your wild feminine nature?: The 'unhindered birth' of my first child showed me a wild and primal place I did not know I could go. I was wild before I birthed unhindered into a mother and yet I had not experienced such complete surrender as I did that winter morning in our little blue bath tub!
What is your favorite part of expressing your wild feminine nature?: My favorite part about expressing my essence is that it calls others to express theirs.
When do you feel the wildest?: I feel wild in the forest at night! I feel wild making love and birthing. I feel pretty wild when I run too!
Why did you decide to participate in Wild Women Unveiled.: I love this project! The more women who live in harmony with Nature, the happier and healthier we all are. The more women who find their rhythm and follow it, the more powerful our collective work becomes. When we unveil our wild woman, we are allowing the Earth to return to her wildness.
What is your message to other women out there who are just beginning their journey as a wild woman, or haven’t started yet but feel the call of the wild woman speaking to their soul?: When you feel the wild woman call, acknowledge her. You don't need to answer her with action right away. Be conscious that there is something more and that there are different ways to live and express yourself than you may already know. Be ready to let go of what others may think. Be ready to let go of your old self. Be ready to shed a layer in favor of transformation and growth. Connect with other Women. Connect with the Earth, the Moon, the Stars, the Animals, the Plants. Take a deep breath and trust your path and your process.
