Name: Hannah Jermstad
Occupation: Professional Adventurer, Ambassador of Love
Tell us about yourself!: I am a lover of life and an adorer of the sacred who's every step is a devotion, every word an offering. I dance with the trees, I pay homage to intuition, I co-create my reality, and I aim to embody the light as we all shine brighter together.
What is your definition of what a “wild woman” is?: A woman who possesses the ability to step fully into the present moment with expanded awareness, living as an authentic expression of the depth of her being with humbled awareness of her positioning within the natural world & the cosmos.
A woman who is in tune with the divine and allows her every step, every thought, every word, every action to be an expression of the divine flow of love through her body.
A woman who shines, who embodies her gifts and allows others to do the same through her simple and beautiful presence.
A woman who meditates with the rivers, communes with the trees, listens to the animals, and honors every speck of earth.
A woman who is a living embodiment of light.
A woman who is a living embodiment of love.
How would you describe your life was like before starting your journey of being a wild woman?: Stressful.
My life was a strange amalgamation of American ways and values. I partied through high school, put myself through college, and worked worked worked to try to prove myself. I was more concerned with what other people thought of me, what other people thought I should be. I was disconnected from my inner wisdom, fearful and jealous of other women, motivated by money, and trying to succeed in a masculine sense of the word while ignoring the fact that I was, and always will be, a woman.
What were your biggest insecurities before engaging your inner wild woman?: Fear that I wasn't good enough, pretty enough, smart enough. Fear that I was lacking in what I had to offer as a human being on this planet.
What is your life like now that you are actively engaging your inner wild woman?:
Beyond my wildest dreams.
Full of beauty everywhere I look.
Overflowing with love.
Bursting with light.
Forever changed, and far beyond anything I never knew to be possible.
What are your five most favorite aspects of yourself as a wild woman?:
The comfort that I feel within my own skin.
The freedom to truly embody and radiate my truths, my gifts.
The deep and profound connection to something greater than myself.
The practices that grow and enrich my life every day.
The capacity for love, great love that extends to all beings and all experiences.
What was the biggest realization, experience, or transformation that most helped you to start unleashing and embracing your wild feminine nature?: That my life, my circumstances, were my choice. That I had the ability to choose how I perceive the events that happen, and I then choose to react or respond. I can make a conscious decision to respond, to choose love, to choose connection with my highest self in every moment and every interaction. That my words, my thoughts, and my actions flow together to create my reality that is ever shifting in accordance with how I am choosing to live, to love. We are infinitely powerful spiritual beings having a human experience ~ what an incredible opportunity, and delightfully beautiful experience when we view life through this lens.
What is your favorite part of expressing your wild feminine nature?: Dancing with complete abandon, utilizing my body as an offering to breath and spirit. Embodying and offering love to every being I encounter, allowing them to show up in their highest expression of self. Running barefoot through the woods and making every movement a prayer. Getting to be 100% totally and completely and comfortably and lovingly me!!
When do you feel the wildest?: My wildest moments come when I am running through the redwood forests, diving into the rivers, celebrating the plants, and calling to the animals.
Why did you decide to participate in Wild Women Unveiled.: To empower other women to speak out, to support one another, to be inspired, to contribute anything and everything I have to offer to the awakening of the divine feminine nature that our world is aching for.
What is your message to other women out there who are just beginning their journey as a wild woman, or haven’t started yet but feel the call of the wild woman speaking to their soul?:
Jump. Dive in. Let go.
Embrace your fear, find your faith, and allow your heart to guide you. Allow yourself to be a woman. Allow yourself to honor your inner voice, your inner wisdom. It starts small. Hone your inner voice, your listening, through the mundane. Do you want coffee or tea? Truly? Listen to this voice that guides you in a direction. Follow it. Trust it. Know it. You are supported and held and loved more than you could ever know.
We are all in this together.
You are the only you that exists : we need you <3
