Name: Anna Miedema
Tell us about yourself!: I am a happy, vibrant person who has a passion for healthy food and herbalism! I love yoga, the outdoors, reading, and learning about the wild feminine lifestyle.
What is your definition of what a “wild woman” is?: Someone who is intact with their inner wild woman and gathers with their sisterhood to celebrate and naturalize their moon cycle.
How would you describe your life was like before starting your journey of being a wild woman?: My views on products, lifestyles, and all people were completely different. I was UN-sure on how I felt about cycles, and naturalizing my whole life. I stayed away from talking about anything near the subject of woman being wild! Now I embrace it.
What were your biggest insecurities before engaging your inner wild woman?: My (as I call my menstrual cycle) moon cycle. I thought it was something I should hide and be ashamed of. I also thought my interest in raw foods, herbalism, and plant based diets were strange.
What is your life like now that you are actively engaging your inner wild woman?: I feel free as a bird! I know that sounds strange, but I feel like I don't have to care what people think and we were made as human beings to live this way! I am passionate about everything I love and do. I try as often as I can to share it with the world.
What are your five most favorite aspects of yourself as a wild woman?:
1. My confidence
2. The freeing feeling
3. The sisterhood
5. The Physical feeling
What was the biggest realization, experience, or transformation that most helped you to start unleashing and embracing your wild feminine nature?: Definitely embracing the menstrual cycle. Knowing I can feel good (and sometime better then before!) during my moon cycle makes me so excited. When I first found this website and the information it gave me about embracing your inner wild and your menstrual cycle I just got so excited. It makes the week something to almost look forward to instead of dreading for it to come.
What is your favorite part of expressing your wild feminine nature?: The things I eat, and sharing with my sisters.
When do you feel the wildest?: When I am surrounded by nature!
Why did you decide to participate in Wild Women Unveiled.: I want the wild woman life style to be shared with more people and I thought maybe sharing my story would help.
What is your message to other women out there who are just beginning their journey as a wild woman, or haven’t started yet but feel the call of the wild woman speaking to their soul?: Go with your feeling. Its a wonderful, uplifting lifestyle.
